Our Mission

What are we?

LPAC is a No-Kill 501(c)3 Nonprofit Animal Rescue Group located in Battle Ground, Indiana dedicated to homeless, at-risk kitties that are sick, injured, special needs and/or time stamped for euthanasia at  Indiana kill shelters. We take pride in transforming kitties of all ages that have suffered unnecessary neglect.

What is our focus?

At LPAC, our focus is to provide medical attention & rehabilitation in a loving, respectful and attentive family environment. We offer both temporary & lifelong programs to kitties in need.

We are proud participants of TNVR TNVR: Trap, Neuter/Spay, Vaccinate and return to trapped location.

What are our adoption policies?

  1. Loving Paws Animal Center, Inc. has a "NO" declaw policy. No feline should be declawed for any reason, unless due to injury or non-treatable infection that is vet recommended with a second opinion. Declawing a kitty has eight side effects and most of which are long-term. This includes: back pain, infection, refusal to use the litter box, paw pain and nerve damage, lameness, joint pain, and behavioral changes. Felines use their claws for balance, grooming, self-defense, hunting, marking territory, alleviate boredom, and exercise. Please do NOT declaw your adopted family member.

  2. Loving Paws Animal Center, Inc. has an "INDOOR" only policy. No feline should be left outside or an indoor/outdoor family pet. Over 90% of our rescues were saved from the outdoor elements. They have been rehabilitated and socialized according to each one of their previous living situations. Felines have a better chance in life being indoors. They are less likely to contract contagious diseases; they live happier, healthier and safer lives being in the home with their family. Please do NOT put your adopted furry family member outside.

  3. Loving Paws Animal Center, Inc. has a "return" to rescue policy. If you at any time are unable to keep your adopted pet, please contact LPAC. No animal adopted through LPAC should be taken to another rescue/shelter, re-homed, given away, sold, or adopted out to a family member, friend or stranger at any time, for any reason.

  4. Loving Paws Animal Center, Inc. requires "renters" to have landlord approval prior to adoption. For the protection of our pets, all renters must submit a signed approval form to LPAC. These forms can be emailed and/or faxed directly to the Leasing Agent.

  5. LPAC's adoption fees are non-refundable.

  6. You must be 21 years old or older to adopt a pet from LPAC.

  7. All kitties available for adoption have been spayed/neuter, up to date on vaccines and preventative. In the event a kitty is unaltered, he/she has been medically waived by a veterinarian. We too require ALL pets in the home to be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.

What do we not do?

  • We do not accept dogs nor have dogs for adoption.

  • We do not accept owner surrendered pets. However, we will consider a case if deemed necessary by a veterinarian or during our intake acceptance process (case by case).

  • We do not have the barn program or cats available for adoption for “outside purposes.”

  • We do not recommend relocation of feral cats, unless they are in an unsafe environment. All colonies require a dedicated caretaker.
