FalLyn
FalLyn has been adopted!
FalLyn is in need of a special person to learn to bond with while she's still young enough and provide her forever home. She is about 14 weeks as of 11/7/22.
She is semi-feral with fairly severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia. She will require appropriate confinement when unsupervised and a parent with special needs experience. She is litter training, able to eat/drink on her own, absolutely loves playing with toys, but cannot walk.
Do you have room in your heart to foster-to-adopt this deserving girl?
What is foster to adopt?
After becoming a pre-approved adopter you will foster the kitty until they are vet approved for spay/neuter and rabies vaccinated (for which they must be 12 weeks old). He/she may still need some testing and/or medical care to be paid for by LPAC but transported by you. LPAC provides necessary supplies during the foster period.
What is CH?
CH is a developmental condition in which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. The cerebellum is the portion of the brain that controls fine motor skills, balance & coordination. CH is caused by the mother being exposed to or contracting feline panleukopenia (feline parvovirus) and passes the infection to her unborn kittens. Infection attacks the last weeks of pregnancy and first weeks after birth, when the cerebellum is undergoing rapid growth & development. CH can affect one, a couple or even the entire litter, with different levels of severity. The severity of symptoms depends on how much of the cerebellum was affected and at what stage in development the infection occurred. This condition is not painful or contagious.
