Coldyn
Coldyn has been adopted!
Coldyn joined Loving Paws Animal Center on December 4th. He is a black-to-chocolate-brown neutered male, believed to be 7 years old. On intake, he had several skin wounds that were due to chronic flea infestation and allergy. His right ear is firm and mostly immobile, from chronic ear mites, head shaking, and hematoma. He received treatment for parasites and underwent intensive dental care. His scarred ear does not cause him any pain.
He is affectionate and enjoys head butts and cuddling. He likes laying across a person's chest. He occasionally plays, but play is new to him, so he sometimes hisses while playing (because it’s a new and unfamiliar behavior). He likes belly rubs and being brushed. He will need to be the only pet in his new home. He occasionally meows, but is generally quiet. He is not afraid of new people.
He only has 3 teeth remaining, so he requires canned food and soft treats. Due to his lack of teeth, he can drool occasionally.
His skin wounds are healed now, but he is used to constantly grooming, since his skin was so itchy. He may outgrow the need to groom so often with time.
He was declawed prior to coming to us, and requires a particular type of clumping clay litter because his front paws are sensitive. He will be happiest with access to two litter boxes.
His foster family will supply 2 tall litter boxes, elevated food bowls, toys, his favorite sleep pillow, and a supply of initial food and litter to help him transition comfortably to his new home. Coldyn needs someone to accept him as he is and love him unconditionally!
